As financial concerns increase among Michigan’s schools, the suggestion is sometimes made to decrease high school sports seasons by the same percentage across the board – e.g., by ten percent.
We normally think of the MHSAA’s year as having three emotional peaks – the culmination of fall, winter and spring tournaments – and certainly that is how most of our constituents view the year. And that’s good.
