Highlights of games appearing in the past week by MHSAA School Broadcast Program members continue this week. Featured games are in football with Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Kingswood’s 28-25 win over Walled Lake Central; Cedar Spring’s 42-35 win over Allendale; and East Lansing’s 8-0 boys soccer win over Lansing Waverly, which featured a phenomenal toe save by Waverly goalkeeper Shad Cunningham.
Highlights can be found each week on the MHSAA.tv website, the home page of the MHSAA Website, and the MHSAASports Channel on YouTube.
A complete list of participating schools can be found on the School Broadcast Program page of the MHSAA Website.
The MHSAA Network’s flagship program, This Week In High School Sports, will be carried on 107 over-the-air radio stations and internet audio websites as part of their weekly high school sports programming.
The five-minute program, powered by Michigan Student Aid, is in its fourth season. The show leads off each week with feature stories from around the state from the MHSAA’s Second Half, or from network affiliated stories and interviews. This Week Game Balls are then presented for team or individual achievements in the past week. Be The Referee, a 60-second look at the fine art of officiating, comes in the middle of the show; and is followed by a closing MHSAA Perspective.
This week show features Kiera Lasky, a multi-sport athlete on Bronson’s three-time defending Class C champion girls volleyball team; passes out game balls to Lansing waverly soccer goalie Shad Cunningham and the girls golf team at St. Joseph High School; discusses a very unique football kickoff rule in Be The Referee; and finishes with an MHSAA Perspective about the real blue chip participants in high school sports.
This Week In High School Sports is posted to the home page of the MHSAA Website by Noon on Tuesday each week; and is also available on the MHSAA Network Website. You can listen to this week’s show by Clicking Here.
