EAST LANSING, Mich. – March 8 – Pontiac High School has been withdrawn from the Michigan High School Athletic Association Class A Boys Basketball Tournament as a result of using an ineligible player during Monday’s District win over Oxford, played at Lake Orion High School.

Pontiac had defeated Oxford 56-39 and was scheduled to play Waterford Kettering today, March 8, in a District Semifinal. Kettering instead will advance directly to Friday’s District Final to face the winner of tonight’s District Semifinal between Lake Orion and Clarkston.

Oxford will receive a forfeit win for Monday’s contest against Pontiac, but does not advance because of Pontiac’s withdrawal from the tournament.
