EAST LANSING, Mich. – Dec. 12 – Highlights of Michigan High School Athletic Association Finals from the Fall sports season will be shown on the Fall Super Show, which makes its debut on FOX Sports Detroit at 9 a.m. on Sunday (Dec. 18).
The Super Show is a wrap-up of tournament action in Cross Country and Tennis action from the Fall in both peninsulas, as well as the Lower Peninsula Girls Golf Finals. The Super Show will also air at the following times: Dec. 20 at 2 p..; Dec. 21 at 2 p.m.; Dec. 23 at 2 p.m.; Dec. 25 at 1 p.m.; Dec. 28 at 2 p.m.; and Dec. 31 at Noon.
MHSAA tournament action on FOX Sports Detroit this coming week features full meet coverage of the Lower Peninsula Girls Swimming & Diving Finals from November 19 in all three divisions of activity.
Also this week, the MHSAA Lower Peninsula Girls Swimming & Diving Finals from Nov. 19 get their first airing on Comcast Channel 900. Division 1 will first air on Dec. 14 at 7 p.m.; followed by Division 2 at 9:30 p.m. The Division 3 will first be shown on Dec. 15 at 8 p.m. Additional reairs have been rescheduled to take place on Dec. 24-25. There were a total of 90 school-produced events last week ranging from daily newscasts, to interviews, to school board meetings and sporting events posted to the MHSAA.tv Website last week. A total of 933 events have been posted since the beginning of the school year. A record total of 1,479 student produced athletic and non-athletic event videos were posted to MHSAA.tv during the 2010-11 school year.
The MHSAA.tv Website registered a record 1.48 million pageviews during the 2010-11 school year. In addition, there were approximately 400,000 pageviews generated by MHSAA Network content being streamed live on FoxSportsDetroit.com. So far this year, MHSAA Network content has generated over 540,000 pageviews.
Watch for more schools to begin posting more content in even more sports in the weeks ahead. Schools interested in becoming a part of the Digital Broadcasting Program should contact John Johnson at the MHSAA Office.
Finally – check out the MHSAASPORTS Channel on YouTube. The channel is being populated with game highlights and feature videos from MHSAA Network telecasts.
