EAST LANSING, Mich. - Dec. 5 - MHSAA tournament action on FOX Sports Detroit this coming week features full meet coverage of the Lower Peninsula Girls Swimming & Diving Finals from November 19 in all three divisions of activity.

 

On Sunday (Dec. 11), the Lower Peninsula Girls Swimming & Diving Finals will air on FOX Sports Detroit PLUS on the following schedule:

Noon – Division 3 – Finals at Oakland University
2:30 p.m. – Division 2 – Finals at Holland Aquatics Center
5 p.m. – Division 1  - Finals at Eastern Michigan University  

The swimming & diving broadcasts will be available to cable subscribers only.  DISH Network and Directv do not air FOX Sports Detroit PLUS tape-delayed programming.

 

These events will then air on Comcast Channel 900 beginning the following week.  Division 1 will first air on Dec. 14 at 7 p.m.; followed by Division 2 at 9:30 p.m.  The Division 3 will first be shown on Dec. 15 at 8 p.m.  Additional reairs will take place on Dec. 17-18.  Visit the MHSAA.tv Website for a schedule.

 

The MHSAA Football Finals from Thanksgiving weekend will be shown on Comcast Channel 900 this week on the following schedule:

The MHSAA.tv Website is being populated with content from member schools from both peninsulas participating in the Digital Broadcasting Program.  A total of 65 schools are involved in the program from the Big 8 Conference, Big 9 Conference, Detroit Catholic High School League, Charter School Conference, Downriver League, Flint Metro League, Genesee Athletic Conference, Huron League, Kalamazoo Valley Association, Kensington Lakes Activities Association, Macomb Area Conference, Michigan Interscholastic Hockey League, Northwest Conference, Oakland Activities Association, O-K Conference, Saginaw Valley League, Southeastern Conference, Southwestern Athletic Conference, Southwestern Michigan Athletic Conference (Big 16), Tri-Valley Conference, West-Pac Conference and the Wolverine Conference.

There were a total of 64 school-produced events last week ranging from daily newscasts, to interviews, to school board meetings and sporting events posted to the MHSAA.tv Website last week.  A total of 829 events have been posted since the beginning of the school year.  A record total of 1,479  student produced athletic and non-athletic event videos were posted to MHSAA.tv during the 2010-11 school year. 

 

The MHSAA.tv Website registered a record 1.48 million pageviews during the 2010-11 school year.  In addition, there were approximately 400,000 pageviews generated by MHSAA Network content being streamed live on FoxSportsDetroit.com.  So far this year, MHSAA Network content has generated over 510,000 pageviews.

Finally – check out the MHSAASPORTS Channel on YouTube.  The channel is being populated with game highlights and feature videos from MHSAA Network telecasts.
