EAST LANSING, Mich. – March 24 – The Winter Tournament schedule wraps up this weekend, and there will be wall-to-wall basketball coverage again on MHSAA.tv, the MHSAA Network and FOX Sports Detroit.
The MHSAA Boys Basketball Finals will take place Thursday through Saturday (March 26-28) at the Breslin Student Events Center in East Lansing, and coverage will take place on several different platforms.
Carrying all the games will be the MHSAA Championship Radio Network, which will stream audio of each contest at MHSAANetwork.com. An over-the air network of over 30 stations across the state will broadcast the games, and WVFN, East Lansing, will again serve as the flagship station and also air the Semifinals.

Additionally, Saturday’s Finals will also have live streaming audio at MHSAANetwork.com from student broadcasters who took top honors in the 2014-15 Michigan Student Broadcast Awards Sports Play-By-Play category sponsored by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters Foundation.
Kyle Marino and Riley Holder from Lake Orion took first place in the television play-by-play category and will announce the Class C and B title tilts. Dylan Wittenberg and Foster Stubbs will represent Bloomfield Hills High School in calling the Class A championship game. The duo were part of crews that took the top two places in the play-by-play radio category.
There will also be two student-produced public service announcements airing this weekend. A radio message on parental sportsmanship, produced by Kent Davis of Bloomfield Hills High School; and a television message on sportsmanship by Caleb Gulledge and Trace Clinton of Davison High School will air in their respective mediums on Saturday.
In addition, approximately 50 aspiring student broadcasters from MHSAA members participating in the School Broadcast Program, will participate in a Breslin Center Field Trip program on Friday, listening to industry professionals and peer student broadcasters in a morning workshop, before after afternoon tours of broadcast facilities at the Breslin Center, WKAR-TV at Michigan State University, and the FOX Sports Detroit remote unit covering the Finals. The students will also engage in their own coverage of the games. The field trip is conducted in cooperation with the Student Broadcast Foundation and Herff Jones.
The Finals will be shown live on FOX Sports Detroit. FOX Sports Detroit’s primary channel will air the Class D and A title tilts; while FOX Sports Detroit-PLUS will carry the Class C and B games. There will be no live video stream of the games, but all games will be available for free on demand viewing shortly after their completion on MHSAA.tv.
The Semifinal games will be streamed live on a subscription basis on MHSAA.tv. The Basketball coverage is part of six straight weekends of live MHSAA Championship coverage on MHSAA.tv and online viewers can catch both days of the Semis for one low cost of $14.95. A Day Pass is available for $9.95. All events will be available for free on-demand viewing by Wednesday the week following their initial live airing.
