EAST LANSING, Mich.  – Aug. 22 –  The fourth season of high school sports coverage by the MHSAA Network gets underway this week, with all of the content making its cable and online debut beginning Aug. 31.

The flagship production of the Network is MHSAA Game Night, which airs at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays on Comcast Channel 900.  Game Night kicks off its fourth season with an Oakland Activities Association-Macomb Area Conference crossover game between Troy and Romeo.  The two teams will meet at Romeo on Thursday (Aug. 25) at 7 p.m.

Three other gridiron games will be featured this week.  Friday (Aug. 26) contests with Mendon at Deckerville, Lansing Catholic at Madison Heights Madison, and Battle Creek Harper Creek at Portage Central will be shown.  The Mendon-Deckerville game will first air on Sept. 2 at Noon and Sept. 3 at 9:30 p.m.  The Lansing Catholic-Madison game gets its airing on Sept. 3 at 3 p.m. Harper Creek and Portage Central will be shown first on Aug. 31 at 9:30 p.m.

The weekly Game Night schedule is set with the following regular-season football games:
•  Aug. 25 – Troy at Romeo
•  Sept. 1 – Canton at Grand Blanc
•  Sept. 9 – Temperance Bedford at Adrian
•  Sept. 16 – Comstock Park at Grand Rapids West Catholic
•  Sept. 23 – Jackson at Grand Ledge
•  Sept. 30 – Grosse Pointe South at New Baltimore Anchor Bay
•  Oct. 8 – Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard at Dearborn Divine Child
•  Oct. 14 – Detroit Public School League Semifinals (2 games)
•  Oct. 21 – Wyandotte Roosevelt at Southgate Anderson

The following three weeks, Game Night will feature post-season coverage in the MHSAA Football Playoffs, Girls Volleyball Tournament and Boys Soccer Tournament.

Beginning next week, a Girls Volleyball match and a Boys Soccer game will be featured.  Boys Soccer will air on Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. following Game Night; and Girls Volleyball will air on Thursdays at 8 p.m.  Additional airs will also take place on Saturday and Sunday. Each week’s featured games will be available for on-demand viewing on the MHSAA.tv Website the day after their initial playback on Comcast; and highlight packages of games and full-length contests will also be available for Comcast subscribers to watch through its Video On Demand service.  DVD’s of all games are available for purchase through the MHSAA.tv website.

MHSAA Classics return again this year, featuring great games of years past.  These games will be available Mondays through Fridays at 3 p.m. on Comcast Channel 900. 

The MHSAA Network delivers coverage of regular season and MHSAA Tournament competition across multiple platforms  -- cable television, radio and the internet – to fans of high school sports across the state and around the world.  In addition to providing content to cable partners Comcast Television and Fox Sports Detroit, the MHSAA Network features two websites – MHSAA.tv and MHSAANetwork.com – where fans can click to view or listen to content; and a radio network of nearly 40 stations statewide which annually carry the MHSAA Basketball Finals and the commentary MHSAA Perspective, which airs for 30 weeks during the school year.
