EAST LANSING, Mich. – Dec. 2 – Members of the MHSAA’s School Broadcast Program have begun populating the MHSAA.tv website schedule with Winter sports events that will be available live and on demand during the upcoming weeks.
The School Broadcast Program gives members an opportunity to showcase excellence in their schools by creating video programming of athletic and non-athletic events; with students gaining skills in announcing, camera operation, directing/producing and graphics. The program also gives schools the opportunity to raise money through advertising and viewing subscriptions.
Here’s the schedule of School Broadcast Program members planning to cover varsity competition this week for broadcast at MHSAA.tv (As of Dec. 2). The following events will be shown live:
Tuesday – Dec. 2
Girls Basketball – Escanaba at Calumet, 7 p.m.
Girls Basketball – Galesburg-Augusta at Plainwell, 7 p.m.
Wednesday – Dec. 3
Ice Hockey - Dearborn Edsel Ford at Gibraltar Carlson, 7 p.m.
Friday – Dec. 5
Ice Hockey – Calumet at Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook-Kingswood, 7:15 p.m.
Girls Basketball – Vicksburg at Plainwell, 7:15 p.m.
Saturday – Dec. 6
Ice Hockey – Calumet at Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook-Kingswood, 1:45 p.m.
The following events will be available following their completion on a delayed basis:
Wednesday – Dec. 3
Girls Basketball – Onaway at Rogers City, 7 p.m.
Friday – Dec. 5
Girls Basketball – AuGres-Sims at Oscoda, 6 p.m.
Girls Basketball – Fairview at Rogers City, 7 p.m.
Monday Dec. 8
Boys Basketball – Fairview at Oscoda, 6 p.m.
Boys Basketball - Hale at Rogers City, 7 p.m.
All sporting events – live or delayed - are available on MHSAA.tv on a subscription basis for their first 72 hours online. A portion of each subscription is returned to school originating the broadcast. Subscriptions run either $9.95 for a Day Pass, or $14.95 for a Month Pass. Some schools are also offering Annual Passes at a discounted rate. All sporting events become available for free On Demand viewing three days after they have been posted.
To view all of the recent School Broadcast Program productions, go to MHSAA.TV, click On Demand on the nav bar of the left side of the page, and on the Filters tab at the top of next page, click on All States and then select Michigan.

Now available On Demand on the MHSAA.TV website is a variety of content from last weekend’s Eleven Player Football Finals. The complete broadcast of each game as aired by FOX Sports Detroit is now online, along with post-game press conferences and coaches comments, and a variety of highlights from each contest. You can also order DVD’s of each game by navigating to the game you want, and clicking the Buy DVD icon adjacent to the video player.
In its tenth season is the radio commentary MHSAA Perspective – presented by the Michigan Army National Guard, which airs on over 80 radio stations and audio outlets across the state, generally during the local broadcasts of high school games. The program runs for 30 weeks through the end of the winter sports season. MHSAA Perspective can also be accessed from the home page of the MHSAA Website.
