EAST LANSING, Mich. – June 22 – The Finals of the Michigan High School Athletic Association Lacrosse Finals from June 11 will be shown this weekend (June 25-26) to cable viewers across the state.
 
The Boys Lacrosse Finals will be shown on FOX Sports Detroit on Saturday, with the Division 1 game between Birmingham Brother Rice and Grand Rapids Forest Hills Eastern-Northern at Noon, followed by the Division 2 match pitting Detroit Country Day and East Grand Rapids at 2 p.m.  The Girls Lacrosse Finals will be shown on cable on FOX Sports Detroit PLUS on June 26, beginning with the Division 1 game between Ann Arbor Pioneer and Brighton at 4 p.m., and the Division 2 finale of Bloomfield Hills Academy of the Sacred Heart vs. Grand Rapids Catholic Central at 6 p.m.  Satellite viewers are reminded that not all FOX Sports Detroit PLUS content are shown on certain services – consult your local listings.
 
The Boys Lacrosse Finals will receive their first airing on Comcast Channel 900 on June 29, with the Division 1 game at 7 p.m., and the Division 2 game at 9:30 p.m.  The Girls Lacrosse Finals will first be shown on Comcast on June 30, with the Division 1 game at 8 p.m., followed by the Division 2 game at 10 p.m.
 
The MHSAA.tv website now has many of the running events posted from the Lower Peninsula Track Finals on June 4 as individual on-demand offerings.  The Upper Peninsula Finals running events will be posted in the coming week.
 
Spring sports coverage continues on Comcast Channel 900 and the MHSAA.tv Website.  For media outlets in Comcast service areas, here are the day by day listings for the coming week of MHSAA Network programming on Channel 900.  We would appreciate it if you could run at least the Wednesday and Thursday listings, as they are the first air times for new content each week:

The MHSAA.tv Website is being populated with content from member schools from both peninsulas participating in the Digital Broadcasting Program.  A total of 82 schools are involved in the program from the Big 8 Conference, Big 9 Conference, Detroit Catholic High School League, Charter School Conference, Downriver League, Flint Metro League, Genesee Athletic Conference, Huron League, Kalamazoo Valley Association, Kensington Lakes Activities Association, Macomb Area Conference, Michigan Interscholastic Hockey League, Northwest Conference, Oakland Activities Association, O-K Conference, Saginaw Valley League, Southeastern Conference, Southwestern Athletic Conference, Southwestern Michigan Athletic Conference (Big 16), Tri-Valley Conference, West-Pac Conference and the Wolverine Conference.
 
Athletic coverage by participating schools is completed for the 2010-11 school year
 
In addition to these athletic events, a variety of other school events ranging from concerts, to interviews, to school board meetings have been posted to the MHSAA.tv Website.  A total of 1,472  student produced athletic and non-athletic event videos have been posted to MHSAA.tv since the beginning of the school year, more than doubling last year’s total of 712. 
 
Watch for more schools to begin posting more content in even more sports in the coming year.  Schools interested in becoming a part of the Digital Broadcasting Program should contact John Johnson at the MHSAA Office.
 
The MHSAA.tv Website has generated 1.45 million pageviews recorded through June 21, surpassing last year’s total of 1.13 million views. During the 2008-09 school year, the site had 555,964 pageviews.  In addition, there have been approximately 400,000 pageviews generated by MHSAA Network content being streamed live on FoxSportsDetroit.com.
 
Finally – check out the MHSAASPORTS Channel on YouTube.  The channel is being populated with game highlights and feature videos from MHSAA Network telecasts. 
 
The MHSAA Network delivers coverage of regular season and MHSAA Tournament competition across multiple platforms  -- cable television, radio and the internet – to fans of high school sports across the state and around the world.  In addition to providing content to cable partners Comcast Television and Fox Sports Detroit, the MHSAA Network features two websites – MHSAA.tv and MHSAANetwork.com – where fans can click to view or listen to content; and a radio network of nearly 50 stations statewide which annually carry the MHSAA Basketball Finals and the commentary MHSAA Perspective, which airs for 30 weeks during the school year.
