EAST LANSING, Mich. – Nov. 6 –  A matchup of unbeaten highlights this week’s four-pack of MHSAA Football Playoff games which will have video streamed live at 7 p.m. on Friday (Nov. 8) on the Prep Zone on the FOX Sports Detroit website.

This is the third season for the Prep Zone, with the kickoff at 7 p.m. on Fridays during the first three weeks of the tournament; and then a 1 p.m. launch for the Semifinal games on Saturday, Nov. 23.  All of the games are available live at FoxSportsDetroit.com/pages/PrepZone, and will be archived long term on the MHSAA.tv website.

Battle Creek Lakeview (10-0) and Portage Central (10-0) won their respective divisions in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (Big 16) this season, and will meet on Friday at McCamley Field in Portage in a Division 2 District Final.  Here’s this week’s complete schedule:

  • Battle Creek Lakeview (10-0) at Portage Central (10-0)
  • Saline (9-1) at Temperance Bedford (10-0) – Bedford beat Saline, 33-17, in Week 5 and to take the East Division title in the Southeastern Conference Red Division
  • Oak Park (7-4) vs. Detroit U-D Jesuit (7-4) at Ferndale High School
  • Pewamo-Westphalia (9-1) at Carson City-Crystal (10-0) – PW won the Central Michigan Athletic Conference title, and the Eagles won the Mid-State South

FOX Sports Detroit continues its weekly MHSAA Football Friday Overtime this Friday (Nov. 8) at Midnight.  The program reairs on Saturday (Nov. 9) at 10:30 a.m. and Sunday (Nov. 10) at 9 a.m.  Here’s where the FFOT cameras will be this week:

  • Romeo (6-4) at Clarkston (9-1)
  • Detroit Country Day (7-3) at Pontiac Notre Dame Prep (8-2)
  • Adams (7-3) at Walled Lake Northern (8-2)
  • Lake Fenton (8-2) at Lansing Sexton (10-0)
  • West Catholic (6-4) vs. Lansing Catholic (6-4) at Holt Middle School
  • One Game TBA

The network for the weekly radio commentary MHSAA Perspective – presented by the Michigan Army National Guard – has now grown to a total of 86 radio stations (80)  and audio webcast sites (6) across the state, generally during the local broadcasts of high school games.  The program runs for 30 weeks through the end of the winter sports season.  MHSAA Perspective can also be accessed from the home page of the MHSAA Website.  Visit the MHSAA Perspective page of the MHSAA Website for a complete list of network affiliates.
