EAST LANSING, Mich. – Oct. 29 –  Four games in the MHSAA Football Playoffs will be highlighted each week during the first four weeks of the tournament at the Prep Zone return to stream live video on the FOX Sports Detroit website.

This is the third season for the Prep Zone, with the kickoff at 7 p.m. on Fridays during the first three weeks of the tournament; and then a 1 p.m. launch for the Semifinal games on Saturday, Nov. 23.  All of the games are available live at FoxSportsDetroit.com/pages/PrepZone, and will be archived long term on the MHSAA.tv website.

This week’s games on the Prep Zone are:

  • Southfield (7-2) at Birmingham Seaholm (8-1)
  • Gogebic (Bessemer/Wakefield-Marinesco) (6-3) at Crystal Falls Forest Park (8-1)
  • Eaton Rapids (5-4) at Charlotte (7-2)
  • Taylor Truman (7-2) at Allen Park (7-2)

FOX Sports Detroit continues its weekly MHSAA Football Friday Overtime this Friday (Nov. 1) at Midnight.  The program reairs on Saturday (Nov. 2) at 10:30 a.m. and Sunday (Nov. 3) at 9 a.m.  Here’s where the FFOT cameras will be this week:

  • Holt (5-4) at Flint Carman-Ainsworth (8-1)
  • Byron (7-2)  at Flint Beecher (7-2)
  • Macomb L’Anse Creuse North (8-1) @ Clinton Township Chippewa Valley (8-1)
  • Warren DeLaSalle (6-3) at Macomb Dakota (9-0)
  • Burton Bendle (6-3) at Madison Heights Madison (9-0)
  • Royal Oak Shrine (6-3) at Madison Heights Bishop Foley (6-3)

Live finals coverage of MHSAA Championships begins on Saturday (Nov. 2) on MHSAA.tv, when all four games of the Boys Soccer Finals at East Kentwood’s Crestwood Middle School and Troy Athens High School; and expanded coverage of the Lower Peninsula Cross Country Finals at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn will be available on a subscription basis.

Soccer action begins at Noon with a game at each site, with the second game at each location to follow at 3 p.m.  There will also be a separate free live audio stream of the games available on the MHSAANetwork.com website.

The Cross Country Finals will have camera angles at the Start and Finish lines, the 1.5 mile mark on the back of the course, the 2.25 mile mark where the runners reenter the MIS oval from the back of the course, and the awards ceremonies.  The race video will include audio from reporters around the course.

Fans interested in watching the live streams can purchase a Month Pass on the MHSAA.tv website for $14.95, which will include access to the Girls Volleyball Semifinals and Finals in Battle Creek and the Lower Peninsula Girls Swimming & Diving Finals at three locations later in November.  A Day Pass to watch the Cross Country and Soccer action is available for $9.95.  Free on demand archives of Saturday’s action will be available beginning next Wednesday, Nov. 6.

Each week, packages of highlights produced by schools in the  School Broadcast Program are featured on the MHSAA.tv website and the MHSAA YouTube Channel, and selected schools provide footage for the MHSAA’s Football Friday Overtime show on FOX Sports Detroit during the regular season.

This week’s package of School Broadcast Program Highlights from the week of Oct. 21 includes the following events:

The network for the weekly radio commentary MHSAA Perspective – presented by the Michigan Army National Guard – has now grown to a total of 83 radio stations (77)  and audio webcast sites (6) across the state, generally during the local broadcasts of high school games.  The program runs for 30 weeks through the end of the winter sports season.  MHSAA Perspective can also be accessed from the home page of the MHSAA Website.  Visit the MHSAA Perspective page of the MHSAA Website for a complete list of network affiliates.
