EAST LANSING, Mich. – March 12 – The Semifinals and Finals of the MHSAA Girls and Boys Basketball Tournament will be broadcast on a variety of platforms to cable television, over-the-air radio and internet audio-video viewing audiences via the MHSAA Network and FOX Sports Detroit.
The championship games of the Girls Tournament on Saturday (March 16) will be televised live on FOX Sports Detroit, with the Class D game at 10 a.m., followed by the Class A finale at approximately Noon, the Class C contest at 4 p.m., and the Class B championship following at approximately 6 p.m. For the Boys Finals on March 23, the Class D game at 10 a.m., the Class A game at approximately Noon, and the Class C game at 4:30 p.m. will all be shown live on FOX Sports Detroit. The Class B game, which begins at approximately 6:30 p.m., following the Class C game will be shown live on FOX Sports Detroit-PLUS and joined in progress following CCHA Hockey. The Class B game will be shown in its entirety that same evening at 10:30 on FOX Sports Detroit.
The FOX Sports Detroit broadcasts will not be streamed live on the internet, but archives of all games will be available shortly after their completion on the MHSAA.tv Website.
The Semifinal games of both tournaments will have live streaming video available on a subscription basis on the MHSAA.tv Website. A day pass, enabling a viewer to watch all four games on a given day, is $3.95. A week pass, allowing viewing of up to eight games is available for $6.95, and a pass for both weekends is $9.95 to be able to watch all 16 semifinal contests. Archives of all games are free, and will be posted shortly after the completion of each contest.
MHSAA.tv will also provide other live free video streams during the Semifinals and Finals. Press conferences following each game will be shown, as well as on-court presentations at the Finals, including the Three-Point and Free Throw Shooter’s Challenges; presentations of the Women In Sports Leadership Award, the Scholar-Athlete Award, and the Charles E. Forsythe Award. The post-game presentation of trophies and medals after each championship game will also be streamed.
Live audio of all Semifinal and Final games will be available free on the MHSAA Internet Broadcast Network Website – MHSAANetwork.com. All games will be archived immediately for on-demand listening. The MHSAA Championship Radio Network broadcast of all games each weekend will also air in the tournament market on WVFN-AM in East Lansing. The Final games each Saturday will also air statewide on a variety of over-the-air radio stations. Here’s the list, with the actual games selected stations intend to air (As of March 12):
