EAST LANSING, Mich. – April 2 –
  Coverage of Michigan High School Athletic Association Winter sports championships continues in April on FOX Sports Detroit and FOX Sports Detroit-PLUS with the premiere showing of the Winter Super Show on FOX Sports Detroit at 7 p.m. on Saturday (April 7).

The Super Show is a seasonal recap of MHSAA Championships in selected sports.  The Winter Super Show will feature highlights and interviews from the Finals in the following tournaments:  Upper Peninsula Swimming & Diving, Skiing, Bowling and Girls Gymnastics.  Here are a few highlights from those events:

-  Houghton and Marquette claiming the boys and girls titles, respectively, at the Upper Peninsula Swimming & Diving Finals;

-  A first-time team champion in Clarkston at the Skiing Finals;

-  Davison’s Taylor Greene becoming the first two-time boys singles champion at the Bowling Finals; and

-  Grand Ledge capturing a fifth straight team title, and sweeping the all-around individual crowns at the Girls Gymnastics Finals.

Other air times in April for the Winter Super Show, all on FOX Sports Detroit, are:  April 14, 10 p.m.; April 19, 2 p.m.; April 24, 2 p.m.; and April 27, 2 p.m.

The Super Show kicks off a month of championship programming in other sports produced by the MHSAA Network that will air on FOX Sports Detroit-PLUS.  Finals in Team Dual Wrestling, Girls Competitive Cheer, Individual Wrestling and Lower Peninsula Boys Swimming & Diving will all be shown later this month.

The MHSAA.tv Website has already set a new viewership record through the Fall and Winter sports seasons with 1.54 million pageviews during the 2011-12 school year as of March 31, surpassing the previous record of 1.48 million pageviews during the entire 2010-11 school year.  Over 950,000 pageviews took place during Winter tournaments, when live streaming of the Upper Peninsula Swimming & Diving Finals, Team Dual Wrestling Finals, Individual Wrestling Finals, Girls Competitive Cheer Finals, Ice Hockey Semfinals, Girls Basketball Semifinals and Boys Basketball Semifinals took place.

In addition, a record 456,260 pageviews have been generated by MHSAA Network content being streamed live on FoxSportsDetroit.com, bringing the total to date to 1,998,443.  For the entire 2010-11 school year, there were approximately 400,000 pageviews of live streaming MHSAA Network content on FoxSportsDetroit.com, bringing the total for that year to 1.88 million.  In 2009-10, MHSAA.tv had 1.13 million pageviews.

Coming up this week on cable are reairs of MHSAA Boys Basketball Semifinal and Final games on Comcast Channel 900.  Spring sports coverage begins April 18.
