We are most pleased when we see the policy makers of school sports focusing on the lasting, defining issues of educational athletics . . .
Attention to participant safety is ongoing in school sports; and once again the emphasis is on head injuries.
There are movements within this state and across the country to encourage more comprehensive pre-participation screening of student-athletes involving complete medical histories and more inclusive and mandated forms.
Everybody involved in school sports . . . should keep great distance from any pill, injection, salve or nutritional supplement that is promoted to enhance athletic performance, if for no other reason than it’s the law.
