In August, the MHSAA relaunched both MHSAA.com and MHSAA.tv with expanded capabilities that will be depended upon increasingly for constituent communications. While the MHSAA is neither in the first nor last column of the global parade in this direction, these were two milestones in the organization’s further march into the electronic age.
So it may seem surprising to some folks that at almost the same time that the MHSAA is making these electronic advances, it is also launching a new print publication.
This month, the MHSAA releases the publication benchmarks which will be issued three times each school year, but it replaces both the MHSAA Bulletin and Mentor which combined for seven issues during the 2008-09 school year. A single publication, less frequently issued, is appropriate for this stage in our communications evolution.
Benchmarks is a four-color, 48-page magazine that is being sent free of both advertising support and subscription cost to administrators and coaches of MHSAA member schools and to all MHSAA registered officials.
