Michigan – and specifically West Michigan – will host two important national meetings related to our business during the next two years.

This June 18-22, the 46th annual convention of the National High School Athletic Coaches Association (NHSACA) will be staged at the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in Grand Rapids.  The event will attract coaches from across the country for both general and sport-specific sessions.

The MHSAA is a conference sponsor and program participant; and the MHSAA Coaches Advancement Program (CAP) will be available to attendees.  For registration to those CAP Courses, click here.

In late July of 2013, the MHSAA joins the National Association of Sports Officials (NASO) to host its 2013 Sports Officiating Summit at the Amway and JW Marriott Hotels in Grand Rapids.  This event – which has become the largest educational event in US sports officiating, attracting officiating leaders from community, school, college, professional and international levels – takes place in Atlanta, Ga. this summer and Portland, Ore. in 2012.

The MHSAA’s required training sessions for assignors, trainers and approved officials association leaders will occur in Grand Rapids in conjunction with this event in 2013.  A special presence on MHSAA.com will be established following the 2011 Atlanta Summit.

The MHSAA looks forward to welcoming coaches and officials from across the US to our beautiful state.
