To provide for the convenience and safety of spectators attending the Michigan High School Athletic Association 11-Player Football Finals on Jan. 22 and 23 at Ford Field in Detroit, attendees are being advised of a variety of items related to transportation and security – including policies regulating specified parking, entrances and exits for each team’s spectators and types of bags allowed into the stadium.

The Michigan High School Athletic Association’s Representative Council today approved a plan for adjusting schedules for the five Winter “contact” sports which may begin non-contact activities Jan. 16 but not full practice and competition until Feb. 1 per the recent update to the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) epidemic plan.

Finals in three Michigan High School Athletic Association sports will make for a busy weekend of live streaming for the MHSAA Network and FOX Sports Detroit as championships will be awarded in girls volleyball, Lower Peninsula girls swimming & diving and 8-player football.

Three more Michigan High School Athletic Association non-contact Winter sports will be allowed to restart practice Saturday (Jan. 16) per the updated epidemic order announced today by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), while four Winter contact sports may begin indoor practices Saturday with non-contact activities.

The list of links to live-streamed broadcasts of this weekend’s 11 and 8-Player Football Playoff games has been posted to the Michigan High School Athletic Association website and will be updated to include not only the rest of this weekend’s games and next weekend’s 11-Player Semifinals but also next week’s girls volleyball and girls swimming & diving events as those broadcasts become finalized.
