Nothing has discouraged me more than football scheduling problems blamed on the Football Playoffs. What was heralded by coaches and administrators alike as the solution to assuring all deserving teams would qualify for the playoffs is now being cited for exacerbating scheduling problems.

At the end of an overcast day, the sun slipped beneath the clouds and into Lake Michigan, leaving behind the electric pink and rouge tips of dark clouds and their reflection on the waves of even darker water.
Increasing numbers of schools are having increasing difficulties completing varsity football schedules, citing the unwillingness of schools with similar enrollments within reasonable travel distances . . .
