Here are tentative pairings and sites for the 1997 Michigan High School Athletic Association Football Playoffs, November 7-8. These pairings are subject to change until 4 p.m. (EST), Wednesday, November 5, when they will become final. These pairings are based on regular-season computer rankings, with the top four teams in each region in each class qualifying for the playoffs.

In each regional listing, the first team listed in the first pairing is the fourth-ranked team; the second team the first-ranked team; in the second pairing, the third-ranked team is listed first, followed by the second-ranked team. The exceptions are in Class BB, Regional 1; and Class CC, Regional 1, where the teams are paired geographically.

The regional final games will take place Nov. 14-15, at the site of the highest-ranked team which was victorious in pre-regional play. Neutral sites may be assigned when competing teams are located 200 or more miles apart.

Pre-regional and regional tickets are $3.00 each; except for multi-game sessions at Marquette's Superior Dome, which are $5.00.

Semifinal games on Nov. 22 will pair the winners of Regional One vs. Region Two; and the winners of Region Three vs. Region Four.

Semifinal tickets are $4.00 each; except for multi-game sessions at Marquette's Superior Dome, which are $5.00.

Finals tickets are priced at $7.00 per session, and parking is included.
